Frequently
Asked Questions
- What services can you provide?
Face-FX specialise in facepainting, though we are also
able to provide mini-makeovers and temporary tattoos. We have numerous
contacts with other entertainers, and are proud to work with Nick Spellman,
the animal man and the Balloon
Fairies.
- What qualifications do you have?
I trained in theatrical makeup at the Greasepaint makeup
school in Ealing, West London and have also attended a facepainting
course at Charles Fox, Covent Garden.
- Why
use a professional face painter?
For best results only use professionally
qualified facepainters. A good face painter will only use specialised,
water-based, hypoallergenic paints. These ensure top quality results
and do not irritate the skin. Also, for your peace of mind, Face-FX
have full public liability insurance.
- How
do I remove face paint when I get home?
When removing facepaint, first use baby wipes to
remove the bulk of the make-up, followed by mild soap and water.
- What
do you charge?
Rates depend upon the type and duration of booking and
also on the distance to travel. Please contact us to find out more
- Who
have you worked for?
Most of my bookings are for private parties although I
have also worked at corporate and local authority events, Hamleys,
Harrods, John Lewis, Debenhams, Homebase, Film Premiers and the London
Aquarium amongst others. In 2006, Face-FX provided facepainting at the
The Children's Party at the Palace as part of the Queen's 80th birthday
celebrations. We have also demonstrated facepainting on the C-BBC digital channel.
